DISCIPLINE: GLOBAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
CAREER AREA OF INTEREST: Gaming, Media Operations, Advertising, Cross-Cultural Communications. I aspire to build a career at the intersection of games, new media, and international cultural communication, ideally within multinational companies or creative studios. I aim to leverage my creative production skills, cross-cultural insight, and global media management training to bridge audiences and industries across borders.
BIO: I am a postgraduate student at the University of Southampton pursuing an MA in Global Media Management, with a strong academic and creative background in media, content production, and digital storytelling. I previously earned a BA in Internet and New Media from Communication University of Shanxi, where I focused on communication studies, new media product design, and cultural promotion through short video.
My professional and project experience spans across new media operations, game development, and creative production. As a new media intern at Zuoquan Cultural Development Co., Ltd., I managed and produced content for WeChat Video and Douyin platforms, designing campaigns that promoted local cultural tourism. At Southampton, I served as producer for Underworld Adventure, an RPG game inspired by Chinese underworld folklore, where I led creative direction, map design, and project management. The game was published on itch.io and received positive feedback during exhibition. Beyond digital media, I participated in the ChinaJoy Cosplay Super League 2021, contributing prop design and performance to a stage play, which enriched my cross-media collaboration experience.
Fluent in both English (IELTS 7.0) and Mandarin (Level II-A), I bring strong cross-cultural communication skills, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and hands-on experience in social media operations across Bilibili, WeChat Video, and Douyin.
